Join our 2010 Summer Swim Team
Welcome to the Piedmont Tsunamis Swim Team - 2008 and 2009 Divisional Champions! Our summer swim season will run from June 1 - July 31, 2010. The cost to participate is $100 for the first swimmer and $90 per swimmer for each additional swimmer in your family. During the summer swim season, the team is open to swimmers from both inside and outside of the Piedmont community. All are welcome!Please see our Summer Practice Schedule for general information regarding days and times of practices. See our Summer Meet Schedule for information about our 2010 summer meets.
For your convenience, online registration is available. Please register swimmers in the age group that they will be swimming in as of June 1, 2010.
* If you decide to register additional children after you have already registered a child online, you will need to submit a paper registration for your additional children to receive the $5.00 discount per child.
Step #1 If you are registering online, please print and mail a signed Medical Consent Form for each swimmer to the address listed on the form. For liability purposes, we must have an actual signature (vs. online signature) for this form. Step #2A Register Online for our Summer 2010 Season. There will be a $10 late fee charged for registrations made after May 1, 2010.
Step #2B If you prefer not to register online, please print our 2010 Summer Registration Form and mail it with your check to the address listed on the form. Included in the pdf is the Medical Consent Form. Please remember to complete one for each swimmer.
Order Team Suits by March 20th
If you need to purchase a new Piedmont Tsunamis swimsuit for the 2010 summer season, Riptides Swim & Tri will be holding swimsuit fittings on March 18th and 20th. On March 18th, Riptide Swim and Tri will be open from 5-7pm for Piedmont Tsunamis suit fittings/ordering (in addition to regular store hours 10am-5pm) On Saturday March 20th, Riptides will be open from 11am-4pm. Riptides is located at 7320 Heritage Village Plaza, Suite 101 in Gainesville. The store can be reached by calling (703) 753-5111. Team swimsuits are nonreturnable and must be orderd by March 20th. Families can still order suits after March 20th, but they will not have the Tsunamis team logo.Imprinted Swim Caps
Riptides will also be taking orders for Piedmont Tsunamis silicone caps imprinted with the swimmer's name. All imprinted silicone caps must be purchased by the March 20th deadline. Families will need to purchase a minimum of two name imprinted silicone caps; the cost will be $25 for two name imprinted caps.
If you know what size swimsuit(s) to order, you can also purchase your Piedmont Tsunamis team swimsuits directly online. Since the swimsuits have the Piedmont Tsunamis logo and are nonreturnable, please make certain that you are ordering the correct size! Visit http://riptideswimandtri.com. You can also order the name imprinted caps online, but please be certain to indicate the exact name that you want imprinted on the cap.
Tsunamis Announce New Head Coach - EJ Tremols
The Piedmont Tsunamis are very pleased to announce that EJ Tremols will be returning to the Piedmont Tsunamis this year as Head Coach, after serving as Assistant Coach on our 2009 black divisional championship team!Swimming since the age of 12, EJ was a member of the Brookfield Breakers where he worked as a Junior Coach. In this capacity, he gained valuable experience working one-on-one with swimmers from all age groups focusing on stroke development and improvement of starts and turns. Board President Jim Brandt recently attended a Prince William Swim League meeting where it was announced that the Piedmont Tsunamis will bump up one division next year to the Green Division. Piedmont will compete against Meadowbrook and Old Bridge in the Green Division, and will host the 2010 Green Divisional Championships.
